Care Guide

How to keep your ONÉRO pieces looking sharp, wash after wash.

Every ONÉRO piece is made to look sharp with as little effort as possible.

A few simple habits keep the fit, the color and the no-iron finish for years. Start with the basics, then find your piece below.

The basics

Four habits that make the biggest difference.

  • Wash cold

Cold water keeps the stretch, the color and the fit exactly where they started.

  • Hang to dry

Air drying protects the fabric. It's also what makes the no-iron finish work.

  • Wash less, wear more

Air a shirt out between wears. Fewer washes, longer life.

  • Check the label

Every piece has its own care label. When in doubt, it has the final word.

Care by piece

The Envoy Dress Shirt

Long sleeve and short sleeve. Stretch weave, built to skip the iron.

Washing
  • Button it up and turn it inside out.
  • Cold water, gentle cycle, with similar colors.
  • Mild detergent. No bleach, no fabric softener.
Drying
  • Take it out as soon as the cycle ends.
  • Give it a firm shake and hang it on a hanger.
  • Button the top button so the collar dries straight.
Ironing
  • Not needed — it dries smooth on the hanger.
  • Want a crisp collar for a big day? Low heat, quick pass, inside out.
Storage
  • Hang it on a wide hanger to keep the shoulders in shape.
  • Leave some space in the closet so it doesn't crease.
Avoid
  • The dryer — heat shrinks and tires out stretch fabric.
  • Hot water and high-heat ironing.
  • Bleach and fabric softener.

Care tip

Travelling? Hang the shirt in the bathroom while you shower. The steam releases any creases from the suitcase.

Between wears

Worn for a few hours? Hang it by the window for the night. A shirt that isn't sweaty doesn't need a full wash.

Polos — Drape & Motion

Soft knit polos. Treat the collar with care and they keep their shape.

Washing

Cold water, gentle cycle, inside out. Button the placket first.

Drying

Dry flat or on a wide hanger. Reshape the collar while it's still damp.

Ironing

Usually not needed. If you do, low heat, inside out.

Avoid

The dryer, bleach and hot water.

Tees — Standard Tee

Everyday tee. Simple care, long life.

Washing

Cold water, inside out, with similar colors.

Drying

Hang to dry. The dryer shrinks cotton and fades color.

Ironing

Low heat, inside out, if needed.

Avoid

Hot water and high heat.

Knitwear — Reserve & Loft

Quarter-zip and crewneck. Knits need the gentlest touch.

Washing

Hand wash or wool cycle in cold water. Zip the quarter-zip closed first.

Drying

Press out the water with a towel — don't wring it. Dry flat on a towel.

Storage

Fold it. Never hang knitwear: the weight stretches the shoulders.

Avoid

The dryer, hot water and hanging.

Pilling

Small bobbles are normal where knits rub (under the arms, at the sides). Remove them gently with a fabric shaver.

Drying & heat: what to know

  • The dryer is the #1 reason clothes shrink and lose their stretch.
  • Shirts and polos: hang them to dry. The weight of the water pulls out the creases.
  • Knitwear: always dry flat, never on a hanger.

Frequently asked questions

Will my shirt shrink?

Not if you wash cold and skip the dryer. Heat is what shrinks fabric — keep it away and the fit stays the same.

Can I tumble dry once in a while?

We don't recommend it. Even one hot cycle can shrink a piece and weaken the stretch. If you have to, use the lowest heat and take it out while still damp.

Why rest a shirt between wears?

Fibers recover their shape when they rest. Airing a shirt out for a day means fewer washes, and fewer washes mean a longer life.

Why shouldn't I hang knitwear?

Knits are heavy and stretchy. On a hanger, gravity pulls the shoulders out of shape. Fold them on a shelf instead.
